Our Purpose
WGIA promotes health, safety and welfare to life and property through education and training of those involved in construction codes and related laws. Our association promotes uniform interpretations and enforcement of construction codes through the exchanging of ideas and sharing of experiences. We promote professionalism through the development of a code of ethics. We also promote the purpose objectives of the Building Officials Association of Georgia (BOAG) and International Code Council (ICC).
In The News
Building Safety Week May 5th - 11th, 2008
WGIA President Danny Cargill presented a check for $500.00 to the Peachtree City Fire Department Thursday May 1,2008. This money is in recognition of Building Safety Week and will be used by the Fire Department to purchase and install smoke detectors for the community.
The same donation will be made to the Columbus Fire Department Tuesday May 6,2008.
